Our 8 month old Finney!!!

Miss Finley Sue Sue is 8 months old today!!

-We did our "monthly" photo shoot today and it was lots of fun! We started off with a big sneeze!

-I can't believe another month has gone by again...she is getting too old!!

-She is starting to act older every day.

-One of her favorite things to do is go people watching or be around people. She loves talking and smiling at whoever she meets!

-Because she loves talking so much she has become one of the loudest babies in church.

-Whenever we are singing in church, in a movie or when Kevin is singing at home she loves to join in and sing with them. We took her to see Les Miserables with us and every time a song came on she sang with them...."la la la laaaa"! She didn't get this from me! Haha!!

-Yesterday she figured out how to sit back up from laying down. I haven't seen her do it, but it's happened twice!! I watch her laying down on the ground and I go do something and when I come back she is sitting up!

-She isn't crawling yet, but she gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back an forth...maybe next month!

-Finley is still the sweetest baby EVER! Every night when Kevin and I go to bed we can't stop talking about how we lucked out with the best baby in the world and we are so so happy that she is in our family. She is so much fun!

It's a good day to turn 7 months old!!!

Miss Finley is 7 months old today! 7 months!!!! We can't believe how fast it's gone by since she was born! She is oh so much fun and gets bigger every day.

 -Finley still is SUCH a good baby! We always say that if you are having a bad day then all you have to do is look at Finley and she will give you a big smile! She makes the world a better place haha!

-She has the yummiest cheeks in the world!

-People mistake her for a boy on a daily basis...so we have to put a bow on her whenever we are out of the house haha!

-She LOVES to spit with her tongue and lips

 

 -She goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes up at 7:30...it is oh so wonderful!

-She loves playing with stuffed animals. They are all friends.

-She loves snuggling with me and Kevin in bed every morning.

-Her hair is finally growing back! Yahoooo!!!

 -She loves eating big people food now. Bananas area favorite. Peas however are not.

-She has learned how to clap and she thinks she is really cool when she does.

-Her new favorite word to say is "ba" all day long through the house you hear, "ba ba ba...ba! Ba! Ba ba ba ba!!"

-She LOVES playing with her cousins. She laughs hardest when she is with them.

We love our little "Finney" so so mcuh. She is so much fun. It has been the most rewarding job being able to be her mother. We love seeing her grow bigger every day. We love you Finley!!!

4 Month Old Finley!!!

 Our little Finley Sue Sue turned 4 months old yesterday!!! To start off the day we gave her rice cereal for the first time...haha as you can see she wasn't a big fan! We will keep trying though!

 She is absolutely so much fun! I can't believe that it's been 4 months since she was born!

 She is such a happy little baby! She has learned to giggle and it's so cute when she does! She has also found out that she knows how to scream...really loud...I like the giggling much better haha.

 As you can see her luscious hair has sort of fallen out since she was born. I'm hoping it will all grow back soon!!

 She is interested in everything and I love it! She loves to look at books and watch us get ready and eat our food. She just discovered her feet which are her new favorite thing to play with!

 On Halloween she figured out how to roll over! I put her on the floor to change her diaper and when I came back with a diaper she had rolled over! She is becoming a pro now!

 We absolutely love being parents to our sweet Finley! She is oh so good! I still can't believe how pretty she is! We love you miss Sue Sue!!!

Oh...and Kevin "picked me up" for a date last weekend and brought me these pretty flowers!! He's the best!!

Our 3 month old Finley!!!

Our 4th of July baby is 3 months old today!! Finley is so much fun and we are so happy that she joined our little family!!

 She is such a happy baby! We have been so blessed with such a good baby.

She loves to sit up in the stroller now and look around when we go on walks!

 Kevin's favorite thing to do when he is getting Finley ready for bed is to keep her shirt on her head and call her a "Nubian princess"...haha

 She's always poking her tongue out whenever she gets the chance. I love her smile...I've decided she's one of the prettiest baby's ever!!!

 One of my best friends Gretchen had a baby boy a week and a half before me...his name is Corbin. Once a week we get together and the babies play while Gretchen and I make a yummy treat! They love playing together and smiling at each other.

I can't believe Finley is already 3 months old! I'm so glad I'm not in the hospital anymore delivering her!!!

Here are some things that we love about our miss Finley Sue Sue

-She loves to talk to you (Kinda like her dad) :)

-She sleeps through the night...yahoo!!! In bed by 9 and awake at 7 or 7:30!!

-She is starting to giggle...we love it!!!

-She has the prettiest little face

-Her legs and belly are getting chubby

-She loves taking a bath...my favorite is pouring water over her head and she blinks with the water in her face, it's so cute!

-Kevin loves to kiss her fat cheeks a million times...sometimes she starts to cry because of so many kisses haha

-I love taking naps with her on the couch

-She's the favorite baby in our ward

-I love that her hair still sticks straight up!!

We have so much fun with Finley! We are excited to see her grow and change!! 

Finley is 1 month old!!

Our sweet miss Finley Sue Sue is 1 month old today! The last month has gone by so fast! We are so in love with our little girl...she makes us so happy! 

-She is reacting to us and smiling when we tickle her cheeks

-She has the cutest dimples when she smiles

-Her hair...in words...un-ruley, beautiful, spikey, soft like a kitten, fluffy!

-When she is awake she loves to be a part of what you are doing and facing forward so she can see what's going on

-She laughs in her sleep! Like real full on little girl giggles...they are so cute!

-Sometimes she will grab onto her binky and throw it

-She has the strongest little newborn neck. She can hold her head up for so long.

-When you are burping her she likes to give your cheeks kisses

Our apt/Finley's room!

I've been meaning to do this post a long time ago, but since we had Finley it's been a little bit harder. This is our new apt that we moved into about 4 months ago. It's a four-plex right next to the park and we absolutely love it! It's a mansion compared to our last apt! We love living here, especially because they let us paint and decorate it however we please! 

We love when we can find cool bargains at the D.I. and make them look cool by just adding a bit of spray paint! Our entertainment center...$8 and absolutely ugly before! $4 for a can of white spray paint and...tada!! Looks like we paid $350 at Crate & Barrel for it!

Our table...my grandparents dinner table when they first got married. We snagged it from a closet at my house in Washington. Our chairs...from an antique craft store here in Rexburg. We were going to buy them and then one of our good friends decided to buy them for us for our wedding!

Now to my favorite piece of furniture in our house. Our hutch/buffet/dresser/or whatever you call it. When we lived in our old apt the owners took us down to the basement and said we could have it. It was just plain wood until about a month ago. We debated on painting it mustard yellow, mint green or red. We decided on the red and I'm so glad we did! 

The print in our frame is actually a piece of an old rug that we had. We were foolish and thought that we could wash it in the washer and the edges came out shredded...whoops! So we decided to cut it and put it into our big frame and I'm so happy with how it turned out.

We love our new apartment so much and are so glad that we found it. Hopefully we get to stay here until we leave Rexburg!

Now...Miss Finley Sue Sue's room!

We waited for this crib to get into stock for about 6 months because we loved it so much. We decided to do her room mostly white with little touches of champagne and sage.  

A couple more cans of spray paint and our frames are all white now and our stool that we found at a garage sale is sage.

Kevin got me this chair from Ikea for my birthday while we were in Washington visiting my parents.

We were so happy with how Finley's room turned out and we are so glad that she is here! We love her so so much!

Happy Fathers Day!!

We almost had an "official" Fathers Day this year! Since Finley is almost born we decided to count it anyways. We started out the morning complete with a handmade card & breakfast in bed. Homemade whole wheat pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit salad & green drink! It was delicious!! We tried to get a wide eyed picture, but it was just after he woke up. 

Kevin is oh so excited to be a dad! He is going to be an amazing father to the new miss Finley of our family. Every day he asks her when she is going to come out because he can't wait to meet her. I decided the other day that Finley is going to replace me and get lots more kisses and hugs. Thank you Kevin for all that you do!!
